Apple narrows gap on Nvidia to $190 billion for top market cap
As of July 8, Apple has closed in on Nvidia’s position as the largest U.S. company, narrowing the market-cap gap to roughly $190 billion, or 4%. The latest move follows a day-earlier spread of about $200 billion and reflects a sharp rotation within megacap tech. Apple shares jumped nearly 5% on iPhone-lineup optimism and fiscal Q2 results showing 17% revenue growth, while Nvidia slipped 0.66% amid valuation concerns. The gap had been as wide as $1.37 trillion in August 2025, underscoring the rapid shift away from pure AI-infrastructure leaders toward AI beneficiaries.
