Apple Health app Users to be Able to Order Labs from Quest Diagnostics

Quest Diagnostics has announced a strategic integration with Apple, allowing United States users of the Apple Health app to purchase and receive biomarker lab tests directly through iPhone and iPad devices. Revealed during Apple's September event, the feature enables users to buy a tailored lab test panel covering more than 50 biomarkers and biometric measurements directly within the native Health app starting later this year. The test panel is priced at $119 and includes biometric evaluations—such as blood pressure, height, weight, and waist-to-hip circumferences—along with blood draws conducted at approximately 2,000 Quest patient service centers nationwide. Results will populate directly into the Apple Health app, with third-party medical oversight and optional clinical consultations included at no additional charge. This initiative marks a significant step forward in Apple's digital healthcare and preventive medicine ecosystem, potentially boosting user engagement and expanding the functionality of the Health app into commercial diagnostics.
