Anthropic Negotiates $45 Billion Nscale Compute Expansion Powered by Nvidia Chips

Anthropic is in discussions to expand its AI computing agreement with British neocloud provider Nscale by approximately $45 billion, raising its total commitment to roughly $90 billion. Under the proposed agreement, Anthropic would secure 460 megawatts of computing capacity powered by Nvidia's advanced Vera Rubin AI hardware at Nscale's Monarch campus in West Virginia. The deal includes a right of first refusal on an additional building. The negotiations emerge as Anthropic prepares for an IPO targeting a $1.5 trillion to $2 trillion valuation, while Nscale prepares its own IPO targeting up to $30 billion.
