Andrew Tate Loses $86K on Hyperliquid BTC Trades After Flipping to Short

On June 19 Andrew Tate suffered roughly $86,000 in losses on Hyperliquid after eight liquidations within 16 hours. He opened a $3.8 million 40x BTC long on June 17 that was wiped out as Bitcoin fell from $66,400 to $64,127, then flipped to a 40x short that was also liquidated when prices rebounded. The spree reduced his account from about $100,000 USDC to $14,219 and followed earlier reports of a $95,478 loss and 107 prior liquidations. The episode coincided with over $400 million in broader crypto liquidations amid Federal Reserve-driven market weakness.
