Analysts Link 27,553 Ether Buy to Over $106M EU Entity Theft

On-chain analysts have flagged a wallet that bought 27,553 Ether for roughly $62.97 million as potentially linked to a massive theft exceeding $106 million from an unnamed European Union entity. The breach occurred on November 1 across multiple centralized exchange accounts, where an attacker extracted stablecoins USDC and USDT before swapping them into Ether and privacy coin Monero. Lookonchain reported the flagged address purchased the Ether at an average price of about $2,286 per ETH. Investigator ZachXBT previously traced 2,200 ETH bridged to a Tron address and noted laundering patterns suggest the exploit was not conducted by North Korea's Lazarus Group.
