AMD Explores Foundry and Memory Partnership Opportunities With Samsung Electronics

Advanced Micro Devices is actively exploring partnership opportunities with Samsung Electronics across both memory and foundry operations, Chief Executive Officer Lisa Su announced during a visit to Seoul. The discussions build on a memorandum of understanding signed between the companies in March to broaden cooperation on artificial intelligence memory chips and evaluate contract chip manufacturing. Amid tight memory chip supply, Su urged manufacturers to accelerate production, while noting that underlying demand for data centers remains exceptionally strong across AMD's entire product portfolio.
