AMD, Dell among market cap stock movers on Wednesday
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) advanced over 3.08% during Wednesday's trading session, driven by broader strength among select mega-cap technology and semiconductor hardware peers. Dell Technologies also registered strong gains of over 3.2%, trading around $551.21, alongside Arm Holdings which gained 3.3% and Marvell Technology which surged more than 5.5%, demonstrating continued investor appetite for chip and infrastructure providers. In contrast to the tech and semiconductor rally, other sectors experienced noticeable pullbacks. Industrial giant General Electric fell over 3.3%, while earnings-related news triggered sharp downside volatility in individual equities. Casey's General Stores slumped more than 15% despite reporting a first-quarter earnings beat, and ServiceTitan tumbled over 30% following weaker-than-expected forward guidance. Overall, the market demonstrated clear sector divergence across market capitalization tiers. While large-cap hardware and semiconductor names including AMD maintained strong upward momentum, quarterly earnings results and guidance adjustments continued to drive heavy dispersion and volatility across mid- and small-cap equities.
