AMD, Cisco and HUMAIN Expand Saudi Arabia's AI Infrastructure as AMD Instinct Systems Go Live

Advanced Micro Devices, Cisco Systems, and HUMAIN—a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company—have announced that their sovereign AI infrastructure is officially live in Saudi Arabia. The operational deployment utilizes AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs and AMD EPYC CPUs integrated with Cisco Silicon One networking architectures to provide GPU-as-a-service for demanding AI model training and inferencing workloads across the region. Looking ahead, the joint venture plans to deploy up to 250 megawatts of additional AI compute capacity starting in 2027, powered by next-generation AMD Instinct MI400 Series GPUs and Cisco networking equipment. Backed by strong enterprise and regional demand, the consortium reaffirmed its long-term roadmap to scale total deployed capacity to 1 gigawatt by 2030. This expansion solidifies AMD's enterprise AI hardware footprint in the Middle East while strengthening Cisco's AI fabric market share. The initiative delivers sovereign AI infrastructure tailored for localized datasets and open software ecosystems, driving long-term hardware demand for both semiconductor and networking giants.
