Amazon to Invest Over €16 Billion in Germany in 2027

Amazon announced plans to invest more than €16 billion (around $18 billion) in Germany in 2027 to expand its cloud computing, artificial intelligence, satellite internet, and media operations. Unveiled at the Invest in Germany Summit in Berlin, the program earmarks €4.8 billion to enhance the AWS Frankfurt cloud region and AI infrastructure. The funding will also support logistics projects projected to create over 3,000 jobs, a second robotics and AI research facility in Berlin, Amazon Leo satellite broadband, and Prime Video productions. This follows a €10 billion package from June 2024, pushing Amazon's German investments past €100 billion since 2010.
