Amazon to invest $3 billion in India's quick-commerce sector by 2030

Amazon plans to invest $3 billion by 2030 to expand its quick-commerce business in India, sources said. The retailer will deploy $1 billion by the end of 2027 and $2 billion through 2030, aiming to expand Amazon Now neighborhood micro-warehouses from about 750 to 1,300 locations by next April. Amazon currently holds a 6.2% share in India's rapid-delivery market, trailing Blinkit, Swiggy, and Zepto, which collectively hold 77%, and Walmart-backed Flipkart's 11%. The investment follows Amazon India's quick-commerce division crossing $1 billion in annualized gross merchandise value.
