Amazon Supports Weekly Humanitarian Relief Flights to Venezuela in First-of-its-Kind Collaboration

Amazon announced support for a seven-flight humanitarian air delivery operation into Caracas, Venezuela, to help transport earthquake relief supplies after twin quakes on June 24. The effort is a collaboration with Airlink, the U.S. State Department, and the U.N. World Food Programme. Amazon will donate aircraft and fuel, while partners will coordinate cargo and distribution to nonprofits on the ground. The move highlights Amazon’s logistics and aviation capabilities being used for disaster relief rather than commerce, but it is not a direct financial or operational catalyst for the stock. The company says the effort is part of a broader relief response that has already delivered more than half a million emergency supplies and support technology, with Amazon’s disaster-relief program having aided 200+ disasters since 2017.
