Amazon Names Uber Eats Official US Restaurant Delivery Partner for Prime Members

Amazon has partnered with Uber Technologies to make Uber Eats its official U.S. restaurant delivery provider for Prime members, terminating its prior commercial agreement with Grubhub. Under the deal, Prime subscribers receive waived delivery fees on restaurant orders exceeding $25 placed directly through Amazon's website and app without needing a separate Uber account. The service spans hundreds of thousands of restaurants across nearly 10,000 cities and towns, offering estimated annual member savings exceeding $175. Following the announcement, Uber shares gained 4.91% while Amazon rose 6.12% amid an escalating delivery turf war.
