Amazon Lifts India AI Spend to $48 Billion Through 2030

Amazon announced an additional $13 billion investment in India on June 25, raising its total planned outlay to $48 billion by 2030 for AWS data centers, AI services and fulfillment infrastructure. The pledge follows the June 15 disclosure of a $10 billion Missouri data-center campus and the June 12 commitment of more than €10 billion to modernize European logistics. Both projects form part of Amazon’s $200 billion 2026 capital-expenditure program, which already drove $43.2 billion in cash capex during the first quarter. While the spending underscores sustained infrastructure expansion, it also keeps near-term free-cash-flow pressure elevated as rivals Microsoft and Alphabet accelerate similar builds in India.
