Amazon Debuts Small Business-Focused Credit Card
Amazon Business on May 13, 2026, launched two small-business credit cards (Prime Business and Amazon Business Card) in partnership with U.S. Bank and Mastercard. The cards emphasize cash-flow tools over pure rewards—offering 0% APR installment options for eligible Amazon purchases for up to 12 months and improved rewards on off-Amazon spending—addressing SMB demand for flexible payment timing. The move could deepen Amazon’s payments footprint, boost Amazon Business adoption and merchant spend on the platform, and generate transaction and financing revenue for Amazon, U.S. Bank and Mastercard. It may also pressure competitors to enhance installment and cash-flow features for SMBs.
