Amazon AWS Cloud Capacity Sold Out Through 2027 on Surging AI Demand

Amazon Web Services cloud computing capacity is largely sold out through 2027, with commitments reaching into 2028, Chief Executive Officer Andy Jassy said. Speaking on a podcast, Jassy noted that Amazon is struggling to match immense demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure from enterprise clients and AI research labs. Although Amazon previously planned roughly $220 billion in capital expenditures for 2026, Jassy stated the company could justify spending even more without misallocating capital because 2026 capacity is fully committed. Amazon reports third-quarter financial results on October 29.
