Alphabet Blackstone JV Deploys 500MW TPUs to Challenge Nvidia Dominance

Alphabet has formed a joint venture with Blackstone to launch a TPU-powered neocloud AI compute service. Blackstone is committing $5 billion in capital, giving the venture $25 billion in total spending power and plans to deploy 500 megawatts of TPU capacity by next year. The move accelerates Google’s vertical integration, boosts its leverage with TSMC, and intensifies pricing pressure on Nvidia while posing heightened risks to neocloud operators CoreWeave and Nebius, whose large power pipelines and debt profiles leave them most exposed.
