ACINQ Merges Eclair Code Fixes to Prevent Excessive Bitcoin Miner Fee Losses

ACINQ's Lightning node implementation, Eclair, has merged two critical code fixes to prevent node operators from paying excessive Bitcoin miner fees during channel operations. The updates target vulnerabilities in dual-funding and splicing workflows that allowed malicious peers or compromised backends to force exorbitant fee rates without private key compromise. The first patch, PR #3388, merged on October 2, limits peer-enforced fee rates during replace-by-fee transactions. The second patch, PR #3390, merged on October 5, secures Eclair-signer mode setups against omitted change outputs. No active exploitation or capital losses have been reported.
