Abel Exits Amazon Stake, Triples Alphabet to $23B in Berkshire Portfolio

As of the May 27 13F update, Berkshire Hathaway under new CEO Greg Abel has fully exited its Amazon position while more than tripling its Alphabet holdings to 54.2 million Class A shares plus 3.6 million Class C shares, worth roughly $23 billion and representing 6.3% of the $330 billion portfolio. The moves build on the May 18 filings that first disclosed the 204% increase in GOOGL and new GOOG position, lifting Alphabet into Berkshire’s top-five holdings. With the Buffett indicator at a record 235% and net selling continuing for 14 quarters, Abel has rotated capital from 16 exited names toward AI-exposed tech names including Alphabet.
